I think that sometimes when God wants to punish Men for their numerous Sins, He just drops Eczema inflammation from above.
Well, that's a comic way of making a rather pathetic situation seem more appealing. But the reality is that, victims of it says that, it can be far from being appealing.
Over the years, there have been some myths around the Eczema disease. Myths are widely told beliefs or opinions about something that are often not true or factual.
In this article, I hope to help you uncover some stereotypes about the Eczema inflammation. Just take some Coffee and relax as we delve into the matter.
First Myth: The commonest.
THAT ECZEMA IS A FUNGI INFECTION, AND HENCE, TREATING IT WITH ANTI-FUNGAL MEDICATIONS.
Eczema is an immuno-allergic reaction that is usually triggered by certain substances that you use. It may include some soaps, creams and even water in some cases.
Some findings have shown that Fungi Infection can worsen Eczema, so anti-fungi medications are sometimes added to the steroid tube creams that people buy. But they can only address fungi infection if implicated, and have nothing really to do with curing Eczema inflammation.
Second.
THAT ECZEMA IS CAUSED BY POOR HYGIENE.
It has been identified that good hygiene may help manage it when it comes, but medically, poor hygiene is not the cause of Eczema. While good personal hygiene is good and should be encouraged at all times, it is a generally misbelieve that dirty habit(s) is/ are the cause of the inflammation. It is like death for instance, that is inevitable, it does come when it wants to come. Not in the real sense, when you clean up 100 times in a day.
Third:
THAT ECZEMA IS CURABLE.
Think of Eczema like Asthma. Have you been to a compound where some excessively aggressive dogs start attacking everybody including the innocent owner? It happens a lot of times and that is the case in Eczema.
It is an immune system issue that makes your skin to over react to some chemicals. And shockingly, it is inherited. When you inherit it, any slight thing does trigger the allergy and you may not be able help it
You inherit a gene that codes your immune system to be excessively aggressive against offenders and even innocent creams and water and that is what causes the redness. And so, it doesn't really have a cure. You simply manage it by using medications that suppresses this hyperactivity of your immune system.
When you apply corticosteroid tube creams or medications, they clear off the Red skin temporarily, but do not permanently address the root of the problem. Since it is pre-dominantly gene-related and usually a family trait too, there are chances that it may come again in the near future and when it does, there is only a little you can do to forestall the excessive flare-ups and to reduce the severity of the symptoms.
These strategies may involve moisturizing your skin, avoiding harsh soaps, using look-warm water instead of hot water, avoiding stressful conditions and seeing your doctor when it comes.
Myth No 4:
THAT ECZEMA IS SPREAD BY TOUCH OR CONTACT
Medically, Eczema cannot spread to you or your neighbor by touch, contact, by kisses or even by sexual relations. It is a noncommunicable inflammation and has nothing to do with spreading to another person, except inherited. So it is advised not to avoid people with it, but rather give them equal inclusion.
5.
THAT PEOPLE WITH ECZEMA ARE ALWAYS SCRATCHING THEMSELVES
The inflammation may come with scratching for some people, perhaps in severe cases. But that is not always the case. It is often advised to see a doctor when you experience itching.
6.
THAT ECZEMA WOULD ALWAYS HEAL ON ITS OWN.
That it would always heal on its own is a common misconception that can make you delay its treatment which can worsen the symptoms and lead to more severe and deadlier skin conditions. Find remedy as soon as it comes.
7.
THAT ECZEMA IS CAUSED BY POOR DIET.
Some research says that poor diet may contribute to it. But I explained before that it is largely genetic, which means that like death, it may still come when it will come amidst healthy dieting if your gene says otherwise.
CONCLUSION:
For the sake of emphasis, Anti-fungi Medications do not cure Eczema. They are added to the tube creams to tackle Fungi Infection, incase there is any.
But in case there is none and you take anti-fungi tablets without the consent of your doctor, these medications do not go away unnoticed because they are not food. They still exert their side effects. When that happens, you only increase your risk of Liver damage, kidney damage, Heart failure, bone marrow damage and several other severe skin infections.
Wow this is great keep it up bro
